Meet The Crew -Introducing The Staff And Crew of The Rockin’ 7- These are the folks that “Make it Happen!” Steve Trupiano from Michigan has been with us for close to 20 seasons now. Steve is an all around guide that is capable of taking care of any situation or style of hunt. He is a casual guide that is passionate about hunting, and once he get’s fired up, he’s the best story teller on the ranch! Don’t tell him, but we wouldn’t be the same operation without our go-to guy! Robert Lesner has been guiding for us 15 years. Nobody knows the terrain or the habits of the animals like Robert. He puts the work in scouting during the off season which helps, but it just comes natural to him to know exactly where to find the big ones and get them in the back of the pickup. Darrell Newburn is coming into his fifth year with the Rockin’ 7. Darrell learned his skills hunting the elusive Coues Deer in his home state of Arizona. His hard work ethic is amazing and he has no quit in him. He’s a strong guide with a positive attitude and will keep beating the brush until he finds the right critter. Kevin Schowengerdt has been with us for 11 years. He knows the land and the animals from working day in and day out on the ranch. Kevin is an easy going guide that will work relentlessly to get er’ done! Kurt Kamholtz has been working for us off and on for over a decade. Kurt’s individual attention to each client is a big strength, along with his work ethic and passion. Kurt loves what he does and we are glad to have him as part of the team. Kyle Koppelmann is everybody’s friend. He is our Grillmaster, the all around camp jack and takes care of all the details from guiding coyote and prairie dog hunters to fixing up the mechanical problems for everyone on the ranch! When Kyle is around, things just go smoother. Rich Halquist is our cow boss. He has moved cows through every pasture on the ranch learning the patterns and locations of deer and antelope along the way. He’s been guiding big game hunts for 3 seasons with us. If you get Rich as your guide, you’ll leave with a great critter and a great friend. Our oldest son Cody has been hunting with Brad his whole life. Now that he’s full time on the ranch, we are excited to add him to the guide team! His hard work ethic, quick smile, and easy going attitude make him a great asset! Shauna Sandoz is our booking manager–she is the friendly voice on the other side of your phone calls and emails. She’s great with details and keeping track of your reservations. It takes a law degree to keep up with Wyoming game and fish regulations, but she and Joel have the knowledge to make it easier for you! Here I am getting wore out on a Coues deer hunt in Arizona with a group of our guides. One thing folks see when they get here is how much of a team we are. We are a group of people that enjoy what we do, and working with each other. I’ve been guiding hunters since I was 12 years old, and after more than 30 years, I still love what I do! It’s a pleasure to be able to share this lifestyle with so many of you and to help fulfill your dreams–it makes those early mornings worth it! Brad Reese–Owner My wife, Heather, can be found managing the meat shop and kitchen crew here at the Rockin’ 7. She loves having a great team to keep things running smoothly! You can find more about her at https://www.sunnyand79.com/ Heather and her sisters, Rebekah and Michelle, love to work hard and have fun at the same time, and will do their best to keep you well fed and make you feel at home during your stay with us. Rebekah is our official hostess here at the ranch, and Michelle is the backbone of the kitchen- we couldn’t do it without them! Our daughter Shelby has been a great addition to the team! She is so passionate about feeding people that she heads to Alaska to cook at Jonah’s Alaskan Outfitters before our season begins. Joseph and Kelsey do a fantastic job of getting your meat cut and ready to go at the meat shop! The Rockin’ 7 Crew is truly a team! We like to get away on our own adventures once the season wraps up here at the Ranch. Brad was right by Shelby’s side when she took down this Alaskan Grizzly bear! Brad and Heather snuck away before our 2019 season ramped up here for the ultimate team building trip- a sheep hunt in Alaska! You can read all about it here. One of our team building trips- a Coues Deer hunt in Arizona Another Team Building Trip- A Wolf Hunt in Canada! The wolf mount in the lodge was taken by Tyson on this trip.
